Gender Equality is a prerequisite for the health of the whole society!
The pandemic process has shown that the world is healthier under the management of women. As equality is achieved, women become stronger, strengthen each other, become the pioneers of the development of the society in which they live. Interventions to mitigate the effects of the climate crisis are becoming more effective with the participation of women and girls.
Children start using the internet more and more before the age of 2. Very young children, even at the pre-verbal stage, are therefore increasingly exposed to risks online. This can be prevented by teaching children “the golden rules” of the child-friendly Kiko and the Manymes as early as possible!
February 25, 2022, marks the twelth year since the loss of beloved Founder and Honorary President of the International Children’s Center (ICC), Prof. İhsan Doğramacı. Prof. Tomris Türmen, the President, and staff of International Children’s Center paid their respects at the wreath-laying ceremony in Doğramacızade Ali Paşa mosque.
Marketing is part of everyday life, experienced by virtually everyone. However, marketing of formula milk products is different from the marketing of everyday items such as shampoo, shoes, or fridges. Feeding practices of children in the first 3 years of life profoundly affect their survival, health and development throughout their lives. Deciding how we feed our infants and children should therefore be based on the very best information and truthful evidence, influenced only by what is best for the child and parents and free of commercial interests.
