8 March International Women's Day
Başkent University hosted Prof. Dr. Tomris Türmen, the President of our Association as aspeaker on March 8, International Working Women's Day. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal and Baskent University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Haberal also participated in the program. Mehmet Haberal drew attention to the fact that there is almost 60 percent female employment at Başkent University and celebrated all women’s this special day. prof. Prof. Dr.Tomris Türmen, once again congratulated Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal, who was deemed worthy of the İhsan Doğramacı Family Health Foundation Award of the World Health Organization.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal, Prof. Dr. Ali Haberal, Rector of Başkent University, Prof. Dr. Tevfik Tezcaner, Rector of Ufuk University, Rıza Türmen, Former Ambassador, Şermin Savaşçı, Prof. Dr. İhsan Doğramacı's daughter, academics and students attended to the event at İhsan Doğramacı Conference Hall.
Prof. Dr. Tomris Türmen answered questions of Prof. Dr. Künüçen, the Moderator.
Prof. Dr. Türmen, who nominated Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal for the İhsan Doğramacı Family Health Foundation Award of the World Health Organization, expressed her pride once again.
Prof. Dr. Türmen, who has been conducting international public health programs at the World Health Organization for many years, also talked about global research on gender equality.
Prof. Dr. Türmen also gave important advice to the students.
At the end of his speech, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Haberal and academics presented a special gift, a plaque of appreciation and flowers made in the Ceramic Workshop of Başkent University to Prof. Dr. Türmen.
