Civil Voices Festival: Changing Boundaries of Freedom

International Children’s Center participated to the second Civil Voices Festival organized by Civil Society Development Center (STGM) to bring civil voices of Turkey on 15-16 May 2014 in ODTU Vižnelik premises.

Our association opened a stand for providing information about our activities and distributing our materials to other NGO representatives and the public at the festival which hosted 99 NGOs. Mr Stefano MANSERVISI, Ambassador, Head of EU Delegation to Turkey, also visited our stand to get information about our activities which he showed a great interest.

At the first day of the festival, International Children’s Center (ICC) together with End Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Network participated at a panel named “Ways of Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse”. Panel speakers were; Adem Arkadaž-Thibert, (ICC, Human and Child Rights Officer) Selim Cesur (ICC, External Relations and Communication Officer) and Žahin Antakyalżošlu (CSEC Network Coordinator). Participants were informed with Council of Europe, One in Five Campaign which is run by ICC.
