“Eliminating Violence against Children” project continues at full speed

The project “Eliminating Violence Against Children” implemented by UNICEF Turkey in cooperation with newly established the Prevention of Violence Against Children Network, International Children’s Center (ICC), Association for Solidarity with Freedom Deprived Youth (OZGEDER) and Youth Federation of Turkey (TFT). The objective of the project is to help strengthen capacities of civil society organisations through reinforced partnership between civil society and decision makers in identifying, monitoring and addressing violence against children (VAC).

Within this frame, 2-day of two pilot training sessions were held to discuss and improve the training materials on “Monitoring Indicators on Violence Against Children” in the ICC meeting hall, Bilkent University, Ankara, on 18-19 March 2013 and 21-22 March 2013.

Civil society organisation members and academics from universities participated and contributed to the pilot training sessions. Training materials will be used in the 8 planned training sessions which aim to build capacities of civil society organisations in their efforts to prevent violence against children.
