RESEARCH ICC CONTRIBUTED TO THE FINANCIAL FLOW IN POPULATION ACTIVITIES PROJECT....

RESEARCH ICC CONTRIBUTED TO THE FINANCIAL FLOW IN POPULATION ACTIVITIES PROJECT OF UNITED NATIONS POPULATION FUND (UNFPA)

ICC in collaboration with the Netherlands Interdisciplineray Demographic Institute (NIDI) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), collects and process data on international financial flows for activities related to population in Turkey. These activities include family planning; basic reproductive health / maternal health, data and population and development policy analysis. The purpose of the financial flow project is to follow the progress of Development Plan accepted in International Conference on Populations and Development (ICPD) in 1994.

The activity was held by the ICC, on behalf of the UNFPA, in order to collect the data of Turkey for 2011.  During the data collection process, the ICC identified the institutions using the cash follow method for population purposes. 10 government institutions, 11 non-governmental institutions and 4 universities were contacted, analyzed and reported. The data gathered will be used to for the related Development Plan to support the advocacy and recourse planning activities.  The work will be a resource for future programs and policies on  family planning, reproductive health / mother health, population  and development.
