A memorable recital by world renowned artists Suna Kan and Cana Gurman at the Bilkent Concert Hall.

In the scope of “Providing Music Instruction to Children with Mental Disabilities Project” coordinated by the International Children's Center (ICC) and supported by the Rotary Club's Cankaya branch and the Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts in cooperation with the Disabled Education and Solidarity Foundation (OZEV), well-known violin virtuoso Suna Kan and pianist Cana Gurmen shared the stage to give the audiences a recital feast comprised of master pieces of influential composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Falla, Dvorak, Saygun. Well-selected repertory and stage performances of two distinguished artists provided a memorable evening to all audiences on 16th of October 2012.    

All proceeds of the recital organised by the Rotary Club's Cankaya branch is to be used in the “Providing Music Instruction to Children with Mental Disabilities Project”. 3 years project aims to develop the abilities, help the children to gain self-confidence to stiffen cling to life and positive influence on social skills by giving music instruction to selected children. In the framework of a part-time special early music education program prepared by the Department of Music of the Bilkent Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, in the first phase, providing music instruction by using orf instruments to a group of 15 students has already began.

International Children Center will continue to provide active support to these kinds of social responsibility projects.
