President of International Children’s Center, Prof. Tomris Türmen was invited to serve as a member of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) European Advisory Committee on Health Research (EACHR) from 05 July 2012 for a period of two years.

President of International Children’s Center, Prof. Tomris Türmen was invited to serve as a member of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) European Advisory Committee on Health Research (EACHR) from 05 July 2012 for a period of two years.

The Committee is the regional equivalent of the WHO Advisory Committee on Health Research. Amongst many duties, the Committeeis mainly mandated to advise WHO Europe on formulation of policies for development of research for health in the Region; to review the scientific basis of selected WHO Europe programmes; facilitate dialogue and interaction amongst the public health community, research bodies and funding agencies; tosupport the development of research potential and capability regionally and nationally; formulate ethical criteria for public health research activities, review the status of WHO Collaborating Centresin the region.
