The Global Alliance for
Children’s Rights and Health Equity (Alliance) was established in 2008 as a
group of multidisciplinary child health and advocacy organizations committed to
realising the rights, health and well-being of all children, from birth,
through early years and the transition through early and late adolescence. The
Alliance works with other national and international professional
organizations, individuals and communities to advance this agenda. It is a
joint initiative of: The Society for Equity in Child Health (SECH),
European Society for Social Paediatrics (ESSOP), AAP-RCPCH Equity Project
(EqPro), Latin American
University of Social
Sciences (FLACSO), Child Rights Education for Professionals (CRED-PRO),
International Children’s Center, and University of Ottawa. ICC is responsible
for maintaining the website of the network, the partnership of Child Rights
Education for Professionals (CRED-PRO) and awareness raising activities within
the region of South East Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States. The
website has been designed by an ICC volunteer.

The website has been developed within the scope of “Child Participation in Monitoring and Reporting on the Implementation of the Monitoring and Reporting of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The website provides monthly child rights related news compiled from national newspapers and news agencies and news from international child rights monitoring organs as well as child rights related activities and announcements of International Children’s Center.

Ankara Child Rights
Platform is a non-governmental organization bringing child rights NGOs in
Ankara together to better advocate for child rights at the policy level,
meaningful participation of children in matters affecting their lives. ICC
operated as both the initiative secretariat and the coordinating secretariat,
leading efforts for the best interest of children in Turkey through building
capacities of NGOs in child rights advocacy and networking. The website has
been designed by ICC volunteer.

The Network on
Prevention of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children has been established
in year 2008 in order to end child prostitution, child pornography and
trafficking of children in Turkey. The Network has been established with the
support of in cooperation with ECPAT International.
ICC and ECPAT
International is supporting the activities of the network and coordinates the
website along with the Coordinator of the Network, Þahin Antakyalýoðlu, an
attorney at law, and operates as the coordinating secretariat. The
website has been designed by an ICC volunteer.
